US, S. Korea Condemned for Joint Military Maneuvers
Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- If the U.S. and south Korean authorities unleash a war against the DPRK, they will see how strong the country's self-defensive war deterrent is, said a student of Kim Chaek University of Technology after the Panmunjom mission of the Korean People's Army issued a statement on Feb. 27.
Chu Kuk Chol, 29, told KCNA that the DPRK-targeted Key Resolve and Foal Eagle military maneuvers of the U.S. and south Korea are aimed to wreck the peace and stability of the Korean peninsula and aggravate the situation.
Kim Ju Yon, 26, a section chief of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, in an interview with KCNA said the U.S. and the south Korean authorities are not interested in improvement of relations with the DPRK, as evidenced by the joint maneuvers.
They, increasing the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula, are disturbers of peace and stability, she said.
"I fully support the Panmunjom mission's statement that our army and people will counter the nuclear blackmail by the aggressors with our own nuclear deterrent and their missile threat with our own missile striking method," she added.
