Kim Jong Il meets officials in KPA armaments sector*

Kim Jong Il, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), recently met officials in the country's arms and equipment sector here, official news agency KCNA reported Thursday.
According to the KCNA, Kim, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of the DPRK National Defense Commission, highly praised the officials' performance in supplying the Korean People's Army, calling them "men of pure conscience, true patriots, precious treasures of the country."
Kim said he expected all the officials, soldiers, scientists, technicians and employees in the sector to loyally live up to the Party's deep trust and great expectation.
He also had a photo session with the officials.
During the meeting, Kim was accompanied by Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK, and other senior officials of the party and the army.
The official news agency did not disclose the exact date of the meeting.
