"An Open Letter to all officers, men and women of the AFP/PNP/CAFGU"
Greetings!
Recent expose of the billions of pesos and even dollars pocketed by high officials of the AFP is not new. It is just getting worst and General Reyes death can’t cover up this mess. As new military campaigns against the revolutionary forces like the CPP-NPA-NDF ang the MILF are being crafted by the AFP/PNP and approved by Malacanang , corruption from top to bottom comes along. There is money in an anti-people war, everybody knows that . War is good business for corrupt officials (military & civilian). The war industry is also a profitable investment for US imperialism- the major supplier, trainor and the authority behind the series of dirty and bloody wars against the Filipino people.
Jobless sons and daughters of peasants, sugar workers, fishermen, urban poor and the middle class are being enticed and even force out of desperation just to be employed in the AFP/PNP/CAFGU to become mercenaries and protectors of the interests of big landlords, capitalists, and criminals in government in the guise of “national interest and security.”
Oplan Bantay Laya and now the present Bayanihan and other past campaigns have failed to crush the revolutionary movement because those expensive and US dictated campaign of suppression are anti-people and devoid of reality to the solution of the predicaments of the masses. Every year the reactionary government spends billons of pesos in taxpayers money in a war that it can never win in the field and the hearts and minds of the people but the incorrigible thieves in uniform and high positions always end up with a full pocket and bank accounts of converted, diverted and divided loot. US imperialism tolerates corruption in the AFP/PNP thru deals, rewards and kickbacks openly and secretly.
Noynoy Aquino, your commander-in-chief is a BIG landlord and businessman and so was Arroyo, Estrada, Ramos, Cory Aquino, Marcos and those before them. They are all puppets of US Imperialism which controls the wealth and destiny of our rich and beloved Philippines . The present investigation of corruption will only lead to nowhere if the corrupt system remains.
Only the realization of genuine land reform and nationalist industrialization can provide for productive jobs for the present and future generations. Land monopoly and foreign control of our basic industries and a government run like a private or family business by the ruling elites will perpetuate a system of mendicancy, foreign exploitation of our natural and human wealth and a fascist war wage by a reactionary government against it’s own people.
Enough is enough. Open your eyes and your hearts, think deeply, listen to the cries of the people for land, decent jobs, homes, social justice and freedom . Stop following orders from your superiors to harrass, intimidate and kill the people. Turn your rifles to the real enemies of the people—the evil gang of US imperialism, the greedy and corrupt officials in power and their minions of fascist loyalists in the AFP/PNP. Resigning from the AFP/PNP/CAFGU is more of a noble commitment for change and is better than to remain blind, mute and deaf so as to maintain a rotten and corrupt system.
