“NPA will grow stronger and the Armed Struggle will intensify because of the ever worsening crisis in the country!”
This is the statement of two revolutionary underground organizations Kabataang Makabayan (KM) and the Pambansang Katipunan ng Magsasaka (PKM)- Negros before the 42nd anniversary of the NPA on March 29, 2011.
According to KM-Negros, many youth and students have now awakened and believe that the future of today’s and the future generations is by participating in the armed revolutionary movement. Despite the psy-war campaign of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in their old tune that the NPA has been weakened , the truth is many youth and students have voluntarily joined the Red Army without the promise of wages and benefits but on the principle of serving the people by advancing the armed revolution. On the other hand the AFP still need to enticed it’s recruits of high salaries, manhandles and tortures them as part of the training to make them bloodthirsty butchers, and get involve in corruption as they make their way to the top ranks. Amnesia is now an epidemic among the officers of the AFP when it come to the investigation of corruption and crimes against the people.
KM-Negros calls on all the patriotic and able-bodied-minded youth and students and the people to join and support the revolutionary movement , participate in the armed struggle so that genuine freedom and democracy can be achieved.
“Land Monopoly by Landlords and Imperialist control of the local economy of the Philippines for super profits has made life miserable for the people especially the poor peasant majority. The AFP /PNP serve as security guards and goons of the ruling class just like what they are doing in the island of Negros,” the PKM statement said.
According to the PKM, the NPA being a peasant Army led by the Communist Party is the real army of the oppressed classes. The NPA is a disciplined and daring Army that fights for the interests of the majority of the people. The peasants joining the NPA in big numbers show that the principles and intentions of the NPA for the people is correct so that genuine land reform and nationalist industrialization can be attained.
By the help of the NPA, the peasants and the people under a revolutionary government based in the countrysides were able to own and till the land, improve their livelihood, develop free social, health, and education services, obtain justice and mend conflicts thru the revolutionary people’s court,” PKM added.
The CPP-NPA is trying to advance the Peoples War to the strategic stalemate in the next 5 years.
“Oplan Bantay Laya 1 and 2 are complete failures, the fascist extension called Oplan Bayanihan, expensively deodorized by Pres Aquino is also bound to fail,” KM and the PKM concluded.
