U.S. Termed World′s Worst Human Rights Abuser-KCNA

U.S. Termed World′s Worst Human Rights Abuser

Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) – It was recently disclosed that the U.S. used prisoners of Guantanamo prison as guinea pigs for tests on living bodies, sparking off bitter anger of the international community.

The German newspaper Berliner Zeitung, conveying account of an interview with a Turkish-German released from the prison after his more than four years′ imprisonment, disclosed that the U.S. regularly conducted those tests on the prisoners there.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

The above-said human rights abuses are a challenge and insult to mankind which calls for respecting human rights.

The universally recognized international law bans torture inflicting sufferings upon human beings.

Under the signboard of "anti-terror war" the U.S. has kept behind bars those who are not POWs for several years without any trial on charges of being "terrorists" in violation of the universally recognized international law and war law and regulations. It is not only putting them to unbearable torture but using them as guinea pigs.

The U.S. is apt to advocate "protection of human rights." But it does not hesitate to invade sovereign countries and kill innocent people under the pretext of "anti-terror war.”

The above-said facts go to clearly prove that the U.S. is the heinous criminal that abuses human rights without any hesitation.

The U.S. would be well advised to stop at once such criminal acts against humanity as infringing upon state sovereignty and abusing human rights under the pretext of "human rights issues".
