Rodong Sinmun Blasts Nuclear War Maniacs' Unchanged Scenario
Pyongyang, August 5 (KCNA) -- It is an invariable scenario of the United States to make a preemptive nuclear strike upon and stifle the DPRK any time, observes Rodong Sinmun Thursday in a signed article.
The article cites facts to prove that the successive U.S. administrations attempted to use nukes in practice again whenever an opportunity presented itself, pursuing the policy of strength towards the DPRK.
This is not an exception under the present U.S. administration which advocates "a world without nuclear weapons", the article notes, and goes on:
The present U.S. chief executive, announcing the "report on nuclear posture review" in last April, excluded the DPRK from the list of non-use of nuclear weapons. This proves that the present U.S. rulers are just same as their predecessors in the policy of nuclear threat to the DPRK.
A nuclear war did not break out on the Korean Peninsula in the past entirely thanks to the DPRK's peace-loving efforts and its tremendous war deterrent.
The Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the DPRK have so far made every possible effort to defuse the U.S. nuclear threat.
The DPRK's access to nuclear deterrent guaranteed the protection of the nation's supreme interest and security and decreased the danger of outbreak of the nuclear war on the peninsula.
The DPRK's building of its nuclear deterrent is required by the situation where the danger of the U.S. launch of a nuclear war has become real on the peninsula and aimed to firmly defend its sovereignty and the Korean-style socialist system.
No one can tell when the DPRK will come under the U.S. imperialists' nuclear strike now that their warlike forces are further escalating their moves to stifle the DPRK with nukes under the absurd pretext of anti-DPRK conspiratorial case.
Historical facts and present reality go to prove that the DPRK was entirely right when it came to conclude that there is no other option but to counter nuclear weapons in kind.
