PARTISAN? JA! KADETT? NEIN!

"I feel with nostalgia the days when I was a cadet of Reserved Officers Training Course (ROTC). Just like many of you, I once had been filled with hopes that by taking this military course I would learn self-discipline and leadership more than its fulfillment as a requirement to complete my University degree."
These are the words the fascist wingnut Jovito Palparan said in his speech to the UE ROTC alumni back then, and somehow it shows his want to revive ROTC and making it mandatory for the sake of the past, and of enforcing ultimately military-like discipline to the studentry. That, in other words manifest a right-wing military-centric ideal just to counter revolutionary zeal of the people.
However,
His supposedly nostalgic dreams are shattered up. Corrupt practises, inequality amongst cadets, does it inculcate discipline and leadership? To the fact that one ROTC cadet end up dead just because of exposing the anomalies within his priority as a member of the corps? Where is idealism then if most of these people end up as murderers defending the rotten system-society or as corrupt officials, leaders of institutions acting as "Duces" and using bureaucratic commandism all the time?
Well...
This hell-of-a-kind idea, inculcated much by the bullet-minded right-wingers, insists much of defending the system and calling it as patriotism. To the fact that through them they are as if like members of the SA or SS, Gestapo willing to kill those who are against the system and its irrationally-motivated polices, and perhaps it includes those who wear what is-subversive to their ideas.
In addition to that, as these wingnuts tried much to call for the revival of the dreaded ROTC, alongside the fascistic "counterinsurgency" measures that even civilians, non-combatants and the like are greatly affected by these related actions and atrocities would resulted to much increasing resistance as unexpected: from the opposition against ROTC to the anger against the soldier-bandits who spread havoc "to justify the means as peacekeepers."
And yet,
As the wingnut Palparan again kept on venting the rotten nostalgia of ROTC, and despite speaking a somewhat "sympathy" for the victim, still thinking of it as "unjustifiable" for opposition, worse as he condemn those who oppose as leftists! Terrorists!
"...In 2001, an unfortunate event happened at the University of Sto. Tomas where a cadet sergeant Mark Wilson Chua was allegedly brutally murdered for exposing supposed to be corruption in the ROTC. The propaganda from the left were too strong that it provided a rallying point for the “abolish ROTC” movement to gain grounds. We, who have first hand experience in the ROTC program understood that corruption could not be the prime motivation for such a crime as nowhere in our systems does a cadet sergeant can have access to money that would be big enough as a motivation for committing a crime. Nevertheless, some groups found their way in Congress and took the parliamentary approach to change the law to what it is today, instead of just punishing the criminal for the murder of a cadet."
To a wingnut, he less or no care about the victim or thinking that situation an ultimately private matter not to be discussed. Not just the late martyr Mark Wilson Chua, but those nameless cadets who were greatly affected, not just by corrupt practises, but also the atrocities related to the course proper-that inculcates such opposition, discouragement from taking that hell-of-a-kind subject that uses "patriotism", "leadership" to serve the rotten system than the laboring people. And to the fact that his statement shows an indirect dismay over the "National Service Training Program", that offers an alternative to his favorite ROTC, he simply wanted nothing, but the military service alone as a sole option, not just to finish college, but to make them force to draft, as a cannon fodder facing the enemy whilst the rest doing nothing except in their offices!
And now, as Cebu Rep. Eduardo Gullas, somewhat sharing the thoughts of the Fascist Palparan and others, has already filed House Bill 737, which aims to reinstate the mandatory ROTC for all male college students of both private and public universities and colleges and repeal the NSTP Act of 2001, lies the fact that the system is too stubborn to implement policies that is contrary to people's will. It's like forcing to put squares to circles.
And like the song Internationale, somehow lies a possible outcome as more and more people opposing "Mandatory Police-ization" of universities, colleges would compel them not just boycotting, but also to push them back to the core.
"Les rois nous saoulaient de fumées
Paix entre nous, guerre aux tyrans
Appliquons la grève aux armées
Crosse en l'air, et rompons les rangs
S'ils s'obstinent, ces cannibales
À faire de nous des héros
Ils sauront bientôt que nos balles
Sont pour nos propres généraux"
or in english:
"No more deluded by reaction
On tyrants only we’ll make war
The soldiers too will take strike action
They’ll break ranks and fight no more
And if those cannibals keep trying
To sacrifice us to their pride
They soon shall hear the bullets flying
We’ll shoot the Generals on Our Own Side."
it also mirrors an outcome, that even the lesser ranks who dissatisfied with the policies of the system, once idealists that end up dissatisfied with the practises done much by those who ordered them to protect the nation yet creating a series of atrocities to the people, somewhat as if feeding to the dogs would force to break themselves from the ranks, join with the people in destroying the system they once used to serve-becoming partisans, soldiers of the social revolution!
And speaking of Partisans, rebels, and the like, they themselves, inspired and compelled by the realities happened within their lives, willing to strike against those who exploit "in the name of the people" so to say, including those who wanted to police-izize every educational institution in the name of their so-called order. They may be called as terrorists by the mainstream media, yet they gained the hearts and minds of the people for punishing those who exploit the people using "development", "unity", "peace and order" as its reason, worse as they deny or even put a blame on their favorite enemy-the rebel.
And now, as we encounter more and more anomalies, from having our ranks getting killed, and at the same time forcing the youth to become slaves of the system, we shall expect something nastier than before. So, whom are we for? The enforcer of the rotten system, creating havoc for the sake of the elitist's order, or those who are willing to fight alongside the oppressed and the destroyer of thy rotten system?
Simple:
PARTISAN? JA! KADETT? NEIN!
