US Loud-mouthed "Pacific State" Snubbed

Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- The United States' loud-mouthed "Pacific state" is nothing but a watchword for aggression and plunder to put Asia under its domination.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes this in a signed article.

The U.S. loud-mouthed "Pacific state" reveals its intention not only to deeply interfere in the affairs of the Pacific but persistently to pursue its wild ambition for dominating the region, claiming to be "a Pacific state, the article notes, and goes on:

There is no reason to regard the U.S. as a Pacific state and an Asian country in the light of its geographical location, race, manners and customs, skin color and so on.

The U.S. ruling quarters are becoming evermore vociferous in asserting that the U.S. is "a Pacific state" in a bid to justify its interference in the affairs of the Asia-Pacific region and thus tighten its domination and control over this region.

The U.S. seeks to put the region under its control militarily, to begin with. To this end, huge U.S. forces are forward-deployed in the region.

The U.S. is also busy knocking a new military bloc into shape in an effort to establish a military control and command over Asia. As part of its moves the formation of the triangular military alliance involving the U.S., Japan and south Korea is being facilitated.

The main thrust of the U.S. imperialists' Asia-Pacific strategy is to put Northeast Asia under its domination. Its keynote is to retain their grip on south Korea, ignite a new war of aggression against the DPRK and thus put the whole of Korea under their domination.

It is the scenario of the U.S. imperialists to seize the DPRK by force of arms by using south Korea as a forward base and, furthermore, escalate their aggression and plunder of other countries.

Their Asia-Pacific strategy is one of strength and the DPRK is its main target, concludes the article.
