Scheme for New Cold War Blasted
Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- The U.S. warmongers and the south Korean puppet forces are contemplating staging Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises in mid-August. This is a dangerous act of trying to ignite a new war on the Korean Peninsula at any cost.
Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says this in a signed article.
The joint military exercises staged by the U.S. and the south Korean puppet clique one after another are military rackets aimed at mounting a preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK from A to Z in light of their scale and period, war equipment, form and contents, the article points out, and goes on to say:
Their contents are bringing into bolder relief their aggressive nature.
The U.S. and the south Korean puppet clique oriented the whole course of the joint naval exercises toward the purpose of mounting a preemptive attack on the DPRK.
Fighter planes involved in the exercises staged drills for making surprise attack and precision strike on the objects simulated to be nuclear facilities and missile, submarine and air force bases of the DPRK, and tanker planes refueled those fighter planes in the air for the purpose of increasing their bomb loading capacity and flying time. Meanwhile, the U.S. Cyber command conducted Network training to paralyze the commanding system of the DPRK. All these facts clearly indicate what the enemies sought in the said plays with fire.
The joint military exercises, staged by the south Korean puppet forces in West Sea of Korea in August at the instigation the U.S. imperialists, are of more provocative nature.
No one can vouch that such war gambles will not turn into a real war.
It is the invariable policy and wicked design of the U.S. to invade the DPRK with south Korea as its military and strategic stronghold and realize its reactionary Asia strategy and strategy for world supremacy.
But the U.S. anachronistic new Cold War policy is bound to go bankrupt.
The U.S. would be well advised to abandon its foolish delusion to attain the aims for stifling the DPRK and dominating Asia by force of arms.
