War Exercises Aim at Preemptive Attack on DPRK--Minju Joson
Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises are the DPRK-targeted nuclear war maneuvers to preempt a surprise attack, says Minju Joson Thursday in a bylined commentary. It goes on:
A clear proof of this is the pretext under which they are underway. The U.S. and the south Korean authorities claim that the exercises are aimed to "remove nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction" of the DPRK.
The U.S. imperialists assert that they can threaten or blackmail other countries and nations as they please with nuclear weapons and WMD but others can never be allowed to have access to means to defend themselves. This is their brigandish logic.
They talk about "defense" and "annual exercises" but they are sophism to cover the aggressive nature of the exercises and mislead the public opinion.
More serious is that those exercises have been kicked off right after the hard-won north-south dialogue came to a rupture.
