STATEMENT REGARDING REJECTION OF DPRK PEACE PROPOSALS BY THE ROK

The fair, realistic and decisive peace and reunification proposals advanced by the DPRK intially in its the statement of the DPRK governement,politicial parties has been rejected on several occasions by the south Korean puppets.The south Korean ultra rightist conservative rulers have not given peace a chance but have thrown away the possibility of reducing tension and confrontation and advanced slowly towards reunification.
The DPRK despite over half of year of continous provocations,threats,pressure,slander and vituperation made a decisive gesture towards peace.This is best of the peace loving policy of the DPRK which is due to the Juche orientated socialist system..In the DPRK there are no armaments monopolies that benefit from a war policy.The armed forces of the DPRK remain within the same borders as 1953 but the same cannot be said of the US which was expanded its military bases all over the world.The DPRK's main goal is the contruction of socialism,a great powerful and prosperous nation of Juche and the raising of the people's living standards to do this a peaceful environment is required.The Songun policy is a defensive policy.Songun is to defend the gains of Korean style socialism and independence of the DPRK. The DPRK's proposals also reflect fully its aspiration for reunification which is both sincere and ardent.The DPRK wishes to achieve independent reunification true to the behest of the great leader President Kim Il Sung.Thus it bends all efforts to this goal.
South Korea rejects the proposals of the DPRK for peace and reunification because its rulers fear losing power if Korea is reunified.They also serve the interests of the US which has an aggressive Asia-Pacific strategy aimed at stifling the DPRK and containing some other countries in Asia,the US strategy is a cold war one.Relaxation of tensions,peace inter Korean co operation and reunification runs totally counter the US's desire for domination and control over north east Asia.
