Four police dead in NPA Cagayan ambush*

Operating troops of the Philippine National Police were ambushed by the New People's Army-Danilo Ben Command yesterday, January 23, at 2:00 pm in Barangay Illuro Sur, Rizal, Cagayan. Four police were killed and one was wounded.
Among those killed were Police Inspector Antonino Rueco, Senior Police Officer 2 Mary Ann Rueco and two more unidentified. The wounded is also yet to be identified.
The NPA seized four M16 rifles and a .38 pistol.
