Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- Popular masses are heading for independence. This reflects the common desire and hope of humankind to live and develop free from aggression, war, domination and subjugation. No force on earth can stem this trend of the times. Rodong Sinmun Friday says this in a bylined article.
It says:
If the popular masses are to build a new independent world and achieve progress and prosperity, they should put an end to aggression, war, domination and subjugation.
The imperialists are the main target of the struggle. The people desirous of independence should see through the imperialists′ hegemonic nature and methods and hold high the banner of struggle against imperialism.
Their hegemonic nature and ambition can never change.
The imperialists are desperately working to establish domination over the world, taking advantage of the equilibrium that has been upset on the international arena. They are running the whole gamut of means and methods including military aggression, sanctions and pressure to achieve their hegemonic goals.
Unity leads to victory while split leads to defeat. Aware of this truth, the world progressive countries are striving to boost their unity. Many countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America are working hard to achieve regional progress and integration by their concerted efforts.
This proves their will to settle regional issues by their concerted efforts, protect the interests of the countries and nations and accelerate the building of independent prosperous new societies and a new world.
