Statement on the end of ceasefire*

The whole revolutionary movement in Rizal province through NDFP-Rizal declares the end of the mutually declared ceasefire between the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP) and the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP-MLM) and the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP). The ceasefire ended midnight of January 3, 2011 at exactly 11:59 in the evening.
All armed revolutionary units in the province under NAAC-NPA-Rizal seriously implemented the ceasefire. All NPA units in Rizal did not conduct any offensive actions against AFP-PNP units and remained in their respective area of operations. Within the ceasefire period, the revolutionary movement successfully celebrated the occasion of the 42nd Founding Anniversary of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP-MLM) that was attended by hundreds of members, supporters and friends of the revolutionary movements coming from the urban centers and from the countrysides.
While the NAAC- NPA Rizal implemented the ceasefire, members of 16th IB-PA continued to scour the hinterlands of Rizal trying to prevent the successful celebration of the 42nd CPP-MLM anniversary. This only shows that the reactionary AFP-PNP was not serious in implementing their own ceasefire declaration. The 16th IB-PA was so desperate to score against NAAC-NPA that even during the duration of the ceasefire the junior officers and the ordinary soldiers were ordered to launch offensive military operation inside NPA territories. But the AFP failed miserably in their attempt to disrupt the celebration of the founding anniversary of the CPP nor destroy any NPA units in the province.
Starting today, January 4, 2011, all members of the revolutionary movement especially members of Narciso Antazo Aramil Command (NAAC-NPA-Rizal) must launch tactical offensives to punish notorious human rights violators, plunderers of natural resources and companies who does not follow the rules and policies of the revolutionary people's government inside its territories. Let us make them pay for their crimes against the people.. Let us do our share to fulfill the requirements for the advance of people's war from the strategic defensive to the strategic stalemate. Let us utilize everything at our disposal to protect the rights and welfare of the people.
