U.S. Application of Double-Standard to Human Rights Blasted-KCNA

U.S. Application of Double-Standard to Human Rights Blasted

Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- The U.S. styling itself "an international human rights judge" suffered bitter disgrace as it was questioned in the dock at a recent international meeting on human rights. In a word the U.S. was attacked at the meeting not only by different countries but by its allies.

Commenting on this fact, a news analyst of Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says:

The UN Human Rights Council strongly accused the U.S. of its poorest human rights record in the world for the first time in history. This was an entirely just action in the light of the nature of the international body specializing in human rights issues and from the viewpoint of impartiality.

Noting that it is the inveterate bad habit of the U.S. to abuse human rights, the commentary cites facts to prove the human rights abuses of the U.S. styling itself "an international human rights judge" as it pleases.

The U.S. has considered it as its job and as a lever for interfering in the internal affairs of other countries to pull up them over what it called "human rights issues" every year, while shelving the hideous human rights abuses committed by it so far, it says, and continues:

The recent meeting of the UN Human Rights Council goes to clearly prove once again that the double-standard applied by the U.S. to the human rights issue does not work any longer.

The reality proves that the U.S. criminal acts of encroaching upon the state sovereignty of other countries under the pretext of the "human rights issue" are bound to be judged by history.

The U.S. would be well advised to take the shame and hard time it experienced in the international arena as a good chance to look back on its human rights abuses and encroachment upon the state sovereignty of other countries and draw a lesson from them.
