US-S. Korea Cooperation in Munitions Slammed
Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- The ever-closer cooperation between the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces in munitions precisely means the cooperation in a war of aggression against the DPRK, says Rodong Sinmun Friday in a signed article.
Citing facts to prove that the U.S. and the south Korean military bosses are frequently closeted over the issues of cooperation in munitions, the article notes this shows that they are not interested in peace on the Korean Peninsula at all but are hell-bent on the preparations for a war of aggression against the DPRK.
It goes on:
The said cooperation is a direct product of the Asia-Pacific strategy of the U.S. imperialists. Their Asia-Pacific strategy is nothing but a war strategy aimed to hold upper hand of strength in this region and invade the DPRK and other Asian countries.
What merits attention in the above-said cooperation is to boost technical exchange and cooperation for introducing and producing latest weapons and round off the operation command system for ensuring war materiel supply in "contingency."
Through the above-said cooperation the south Korean puppet forces seek to mass-produce latest war equipment and lethal weapons on the basis of new military technology provided by the U.S. and bolster up and modernize their armed forces.
Meanwhile, the U.S. imperialists are working hard to put under their control the munitions industry of south Korea under the signboard of the munitions cooperation and fully use its military and economic potentials for carrying out their war policy.
The U.S. concluded dozens of agreements of various kinds on "wartime support," etc. with the south Korean puppet forces. The U.S. imperialists proposed newly creating "a policy committee for extended nuclear deterrence" and set forth "strategic planning guidelines," an elaboration of the OPLAN 5015, a new operational plan for invading the DPRK. All this is designed to make a more effective use of such agreements for carrying out a war of the U.S. forces.
The U.S. imperialists newly set up the U.S. forces transport headquarters in a bid to successfully ensure the supply of military materiel in "contingency" on the Korean Peninsula and deployed an "advanced integrated fleet of warships" in waters around Japan. The south Korean puppet forces established a system for mobilizing all military and civilian planes, ships, etc. under the command of the U.S. forces transport headquarters in "contingency".
The U.S. imperialists would be well advised to stop the criminal munitions cooperation with the south Korean puppet forces aimed at igniting another Korean war and withdraw at once their armed forces and war materiel from south Korea, concludes the article.
