Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Work Observed
Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Sunday dedicates a signed article to the 20th publication anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's work "On Some Issues Related to the Ideological Groundwork of Socialism."
In the work, published on May 30, Juche 79 (1990), Kim Jong Il comprehensively clarified the theory on the ideological groundwork of socialism, basing himself on the scientific insight into the realities of the world socialist movement.
Socialism in the DPRK is solid and invincible because the DPRK regards the great Songun idea of Juche as its guidelines and collectivism as life and soul and fundamental basis of socialism and invariably adheres to the revolutionary principle, the socialist principle under any conditions and circumstance, the article notes, and says:
Thanks to the Workers' Party of Korea's Songun idea and Songun politics, our army and people have reliably defended Korean-style socialism, overcoming the difficult trials of the "Arduous March", the forced march. And they have made the dynamic advance for brining earlier the bright future of a thriving nation.
Today the whole party and army and all the people are rallied as one in mind around Kim Jong Il and are vigorously accelerating the general advance to open the gate to a thriving nation. This reality of the DPRK is a vivid expression of the invincible might of Korean-style socialism based on collectivism.
It is a vital problem related to the fate of the country and the nation to keep the revolutionary principle, the socialist principle at the present time when the acute confrontation with the U.S. imperialists is going on.
Unshakable is the revolutionary faith and will of our army and people who are confidently advancing along the road of socialism chosen by themselves despite the imperialists and other reactionaries' ceaseless moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK.
