A Right-winger amongst the "Democrats" are always Reactive

A Right-winger amongst the "Democrats" are always Reactive

By Lualhati Madlangawa-Guererro

Last time, we expected changes in the nation-state after the election to the inauguration of our "dear beloved" President of our nation. Changes that may consider contributing and a force to improve our lives and to generate wealth for our people, both material and spiritual.

However,
As time goes by, we notice that despite the sugar-coated statements being broadcasted by the biased, one sided media, it seems that his administration is seemingly destined to be "Right" no matter how reforms being implemented as long as the reaction, who also involved in the system for many years tries its best to negate it and even gain prominence in an "old-style" action as "democrats". And as what I have noticed, that another wave of atrocities against the people hath come over-a remnant of the past administrations the current administration ought to stop.

But despite all these, this hell-of-a-kind problem also be "beneficial" as those who implicated on the atrocities, the right-wingers called it a means to "stop the growing threat" and to "save democracy" from the enemies of the state-that also considered a means to "step-by-step" unsheathing the sword of war. Somehow it mirrors both thought and deed as the Right-wingers amongst the Democrats, whether legal, semilegal, or illegal, conducted enough action to destroy the opposition in the name of democracy, especially through intensifying anti-insurgency plans with the blessings of the government (who benefits) and even supported by the imperialists like the United States.

And like the past administrations, the current administration "step-by-step trying to unscathe the sword of war as last time we heard one general bragging that he would stop the red menace in three years that, like the five or seven year operation plans made then be doomed to fail. And according to the July 6 2010 Philippine Star editorial entitled "The killing continues", it said:
"...Just three days into the presidency of Benigno Aquino III, a columnist in a community newspaper in Kalinga was killed. Yesterday an area coordinator of the left-leaning Bayan Muna was shot dead in Kalibo, Aklan as he was taking his children to school. In a statement, Bayan Muna described the murder as the first extrajudicial killing under the watch of the new President."
And as I what I have expected, that the military would insist that their action "not theirs" and making another recycled propaganda calling it as a "purge" as according to the recent news from Inquirer, it said:
"Certainly we are not involved in that,” Armed Forces of the Philippines spokesman Brigadier General Jose Mabanta said in a press briefing at Camp Aguinaldo Tuesday."
"We all know that in the leftist organization, purging from within has always been instituted or is a strategy of the underground armed organization,” he added."

Well...
These statements the military hath said is often bannered much by the Right-wingers boasted as democrats. Reactive as I may expect and again trying to deny or if not defend and calling it justifiable, I really notice much how these people again and again creating hogwash out of recycled propaganda material, smattering of truths and the like in order to make it "palatable" to the media. I even remember Palparan's statement in Inquirer regarding his actions and said:
"Perhaps I inspired some people. My involvement, if I have to be guilty, is that I inspire people to violate the law."
And somehow it also mirrors the mind of the ones "defending the state" or rather say "the system" and as what expected also shows his concept being "emulated" and at the same time denying it. To the fact that these worst actions laid by these Right-wingers posing as Democrats, of killing, harassing, disappearing contributes much to the deterioration of the system, and worse as they defend it.

If that's the case, what kind of change are we expecting if same actions are being undertaken? Of forced dispersals, killing of progressives and mediamen, of condemning the rest of the legal left as terrorists? Well... 'growth' and 'renovation' than 'construction' and 'innovation' are the ideas regarding change as what the present administration think of while the rest keeping it as it is-especially in regards to anti-insurgency affairs of ceaseless condemnation and willingness to continue the unending conflict.

And if they do so, of continuous actions against the people, somehow making these Right-wingers as propagandists for the growing revolutionary movement. A propaganda of deeds than of words, as what the Anarchist Bakunin said:
"we must spread our principles, not with words but with deeds, for this is the most popular, the most potent, and the most irresistible form of propaganda."
Sorry for the words, but then the enemy itself perform an irresistible form of propaganda that makes the revolution increasing than decreasing. True, since the opposition against the reaction continues to expose and criticize the actions laid by the Right-wingers posing as Democrats in the government just like the article being said by the Peking Peoples Daily last July 8, 1957:
"The struggle of our people against the rightists is being intensified. The hallmark of this intensified struggle is that workers, peasants, young students, revolutionary intellectuals, and pro-socialist industrialists and merchants have had their consciousness heightened and have actively thrown themselves into the anti-rightist struggle..."

For sure the Right-wingers posing as Democrats would evenly becoming too reactive as more and more people are becoming angry and willing to expose, criticize their activities against the people, freedom, and democracy worst than these people wanted against the Left. They, the ones who spoke regarding the Left of "using Democracy to destroy Democracy" and "Freedom to destroy Freedom" are the same persons, groups who did so through their schemes that is nastier than their rivals.
