The New People's Army in Southern Mindanao welcomed the reported appeal made by Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte on April 8, asking the NPA to allow all GRP electoral candidates to campaign in guerilla areas. But while at this, the entire revolutionary movement condemned the fascist maneuvers and schemes of the Nograles-Palparan-Alcover unholy alliance.
There is a big, clear and distinct difference between the messages sent by Duterte and the Nograles-Palparan-Alcover clique: Duterte's message directly addresses the minds by appealing to the revolutionary forces, in an overt recognition of the NPA's authority. In contrast, the gang of Nograles, Palparan and Alcover uses black propaganda and reward money; and brings with them the abusive troops of the 10th Infantry Division-AFP during their campaign sorties to harass voters and manipulate the conduct of campaign to their favor.
If House Speaker Prospero Nograles is truly sincere with his intentions, then the NPA challenges him to stop his links with the butcher Jovito Palparan and the paid hack Jun Alcover in creating a climate of fear and chaos. By doing so, his campaigning in guerilla areas will not be a problem.
Let it be known that only candidates and political parties who are blatantly fascist and with crimes against the masses and the revolutionary movement are those who are terribly worried with the Democratic People's Government's laws and regulations on the conduct of campaigns for the GRP elections.
In Davao City and even in other provinces and cities in Southern Mindanao and the entire archipelago, eversince, candidates and political parties who participate in the GRP elections did not find it hard to accept the political reality that there exists a revolutionary government in the countryside. Only the likes of Palparan and Alcover are anxious because they are conscious of their crimes against the masses.
