US Blockade Termed Levers for Realizing World Domination
Pyongyang, September 18 (KCNA) -- The U.S. describes sanctions and blockade as unavoidable "punitive" measures against "problematic countries" allegedly to ensure global "peace and security" and "democracy" and guarantee "human rights". But this is nothing but sheer sophism to cover up its sinister intention.
Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in a signed article.
It goes on:
The U.S. has enforced the policy of sanctions and blockade to isolate and suffocate the progressive countries and realize its wild ambition for world domination.
The U.S. adopted sanctions and blockade as an important lever to stifle the countries which incur its displeasure and a means for maintaining and strengthening its "leadership" position in the capitalist world.
The ultimate aim of the U.S. sanctions and blockade against other countries is to bring down the social system in the above-said countries and establish an American-style governing order there.
U.S. sanctions and blockade are very dangerous criminal acts as they are accompanied by wars. This is evidenced by the fact that the U.S. had long slapped sanctions against Iraq and finally put it under its control through armed invasion.
It is applying the same method to other countries in an effort to realize its hegemonic ambition with ease.
A particular mention should be made of the fact that the U.S. is mulling applying the same method to the DPRK. Through sanctions and blockades the U.S. seeks to isolate and weaken the DPRK and thus disable it in an effort to control it with ease. Precisely for this reason the U.S. is escalating the sanctions and blockade against the DPRK. No one can vouch that the above-said sanctions and blockade will not develop into a war of aggression against the DPRK.
