Meetings of Working People′s Organizations Held on Wednesday


Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- Meetings of youth and students and agricultural workers were separately held on Wednesday to celebrate the 47th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il 's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Reporters and speakers said at the meetings that Kim Jong Il 's start of work at the C.C., the WPK on June 19, Juche 53 (1964), provided a firm guarantee for the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche and opened up a bright future for the country and the nation.

They referred to the fact that Kim Jong Il developed the WPK to be a powerful political organization guiding the revolutionary cause of Juche by preserving and glorifying President Kim Il Sung 's idea of party building and exploits performed in it.

Thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il the WPK could consolidate the unity and cohesion centered on the leader as firm as a rock and remarkably strengthen the driving force for the revolution and the DPRK came to demonstrate its might as a political and military power, they said.

Kim Jong Il has brought about a dramatic change in the revolution and construction by giving play to the mental power of the popular masses, they noted, adding that he lit a torch of a new revolutionary great surge and has energetically led the Korean people in their efforts to build an economic power through his endless field guidance.

Present at the meetings were Choe Ryong Hae, secretary of the C.C., the WPK, officials concerned, youth and students and agricultural workers.
