Kim Jong Il Gives Field Guidance to Newly Built Unsan Instrument Factory
Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers′ Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, gave field guidance to the newly built Unsan Instrument Factory.
After looking round the room dedicated to the history of the factory, he went round its different places to learn in detail about its construction and technical equipment.
He was greatly satisfied to watch varieties of quality instruments being churned out in an endless stream from the production processes equipped with CNC machine tools and robots. He said that the factory built on the basis of latest science and technology is an ultra-modern factory reflecting the appearance of the ideal society desired by the Korean people.
It is a big miracle that the workers of the factory and officials and other working people of North Phyongan Province have radically changed the appearance of the factory and brought about a revolution in the instrument production in a short span of time by pooling efforts and wisdom with technicians of the Ryonha Machine Management Bureau, he said, highly appreciating their laudable feats and extending thanks to all the builders and helpers.
The factory which has undergone so dramatic changes that its former appearance is untraceable is another great structure in the era of Songun of which the country can boast in terms of its production capability and technical equipment, he said.
The workers of the factory could work the world-startling miracle by backing the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude with latest science and technology, he noted, adding with confidence that this proves if one has a firm grasp on science and technology, one can ride Chollima.
Very pleased that the factory is capable of providing a sufficient number of instruments required by the nation′s machine-building industry making a leaping advance, breaking through latest science, he personally proposed awarding Kim Il Sung Prize to the CNC-based instrument streamline of the best level and high state commendations to its developers.
The stirring reality in the factory proves that it is possible to attain any goal of ultra-modern science and technology when strong mental power of Kim Il Sung′s nation, inexhaustible creative ingenuity and solid technical and economic potentials are displayed, he stressed.
He went round the cultural hall, canteen and other cultural and welfare establishments built in a peculiar style to learn in detail about the cultural life and supply service there.
He was greatly pleased to see the cultural hall and canteen which look as splendid as theatres and restaurants in a city.
He advanced the tasks to be fulfilled to operate and manage the factory.
