WPK Hosts Reception for Finnish Party Delegation


Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea hosted a reception in honor of the visiting delegation of the Communist Workers' Party of Finland for the Peace and Socialism at Pyongyang Koryo Hotel on Wednesday.

Present there on invitation were the delegation headed by Chairman Hannu Harju. On hand were Secretary of the WPK Central Committee Kim Yong Il and its officials. Kim in his speech referred to the fact that the two parties have closely cooperated with each other in the effort for independence and socialism against imperialism long ago.

He highly praised the Communist Workers' Party of Finland for the Peace and Socialism for invariably maintaining the revolutionary principle.

The WPK will make strenuous efforts to develop the friendly relations between the two parties in the future, too, he stressed.

Hannu Harju said in his speech that he warmly congratulates General Secretary Kim Jong Il on his reelection as general secretary of the WPK at its Conference.

Referring to the fact that the publication of the June 15 joint declaration put spurs to the accomplishment of the Korean people's cause of reunification, he stressed that he deeply sympathized with the constructive proposal for reunification advanced by President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Expressing his party's support for the Songun politics enforced by Kim Jong Il, he expressed his will to strive hard to develop the relations between the two parties.
