DPRK's Important Days Celebrated
Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- A seminar was held in Russia and a meeting in UK on Sept. 17 and 18 on the occasions of the 62nd anniversary of the founding of the DPRK and the 65th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Gennadi Astakhov, chief of the Tynda City Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of Russian Philosophy Association, in a report said that the DPRK is exercising its sovereignty with dignity on the international arena thanks to the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and the Songun politics enforced by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
Thanks to the great Songun politics, peace has been preserved on the Korean Peninsula and the drive for building a thriving nation has been successfully carried out in the DPRK, he noted.
Dermot Hudson, representative of the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain, in a report highly praised the President for his feats of party-building and nation-building and Kim Jong Il for developing the WPK into the glorious party of Kim Il Sung and the DPRK into the socialist state of Juche with the invincible might.
The WPK will lead the Korean people along the road of the victory and glory under the leadership of Kim Jong Il in the future, too, he stressed.
Kevin Cain, organizational secretary of the British branch, and other speakers noted that the U.S. imperialists and their followers including the south Korean puppet forces have persistently committed the moves against the DPRK by mobilizing all means, but the DPRK has remained undeterred. There is no such genuine socialist country as the DPRK in the world, he added.
