DPRK Takes on New Look in Songun Era

Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has changed its looks in the era of Songun thanks to the painstaking efforts of the army and people.

Echoes of Ulrim Falls, horizon of the Handre Plain, sea of potato flowers in Taehongdan, bright lights on River Jangja, fairyland of Poman-ri and many other scenic views have appeared in the country in the Songun era.

Remarkable achievements have also been made in economic sectors.

Juche-based iron-making methods have been applied to the Chollima Steel Complex, the Songjin Steel Complex, the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, and production processes of industrial establishments have been put on the CNC basis.

The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the February 8 Vinalon Complex have massproduced fertilizers and vinalon fibers respectively.

The Taegyedo tideland reclamation project was completed in June, bringing about farms, salterns and fish breeding grounds, as well as a ring-shaped road on the dyke.
