British Association Urges US Forces' Withdrawal

Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- The British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain issued a statement on Sept. 19 on the lapse of 65 years since the U.S. occupied south Korea.

It also vehemently denounced the U.S. for persistently keeping their aggression armed forces there in wanton violation of the Korean Armistice Agreement, the resolution of the UN General Assembly, etc.

The end of the Cold War left the U.S. forces with no justification to stay in south Korea, the statement pointed out, urging the U.S. to pull back its armed forces out of south Korea and dismantle military bases there. It called upon peace-loving forces of the world to intensify the movement for international solidarity to this end.
