From London to Birmingham: the sweeping protest
The violence that has spread across London has reportedly reached Birmingham. In several parts of the capital, groups of youths clashed with police, with buildings and cars are again ablaze. In the suburbs of Hackney, East London, dozens of jacket-clad youths attacked shops and windows last Monday, attacked and even pelted riot police with fireworks, pieces of wood, oil bombs and other objects. These events follows unrest over the weekend after a man was shot dead by police.
